Canva is an extremely powerful online free design tool and graphic design platform where you can create Social Media posts, Videos, Animations, PDFs, and Documents and can make unimaginable types of creativity with pre-made templates and elements. The List is super long!!
Founded in 2012, Canva reported they had 30 Million active users in 2019 and from there they grew to 110 Million active users by end of 2022, in just 3 years, that’s insane growth!
It’s important to stay focused on today’s key points, so I won’t continue to sing Canva’s praises for too long.
In a recent Canva Create event, held on 23rd March 2023, Canva unfolds a whole bunch of new AI features to its online free design tool. Canva infuses its platform with the power of Artificial Intelligence (almost the same as Adobe Firefly) like:
Magic Design: This feature lets you upload an image, select a style, and voila – a curated selection of unique templates is generated just for you. Whether you’re looking to visualize your latest project, spark some creativity, or discover templates that are uniquely yours, Magic Design has got you covered.
Magic Edit: If you’re ever in a situation where you want to add or replace an element in a photo, Magic Edit has got your back! With this AI-powered feature, simply select the area in question, describe what you want to add or swap out, and voila! Your AI photo editor will work its magic and bring your vision to life.
Translate: Canva has added over new 100 languages to choose from, you can easily translate the text in your designs and take your message to new heights.
Beat Sync: With Beat Sync, you can now automatically sync your audio and video in seconds. This AI tool can automatically detect peak moments in the videos to sync with uploaded music. This is going to save huge manual hours.
Draw: The long-awaited feature of freehand drawing makes its way to Canva finally.
Magic Eraser: Now you can remove unwanted objects from images with Magic Eraser. To use this you’ll just have to brush over the area and then wait for AI to do its magic to vanish the object.
Create Animation: Now you can play with animation within Canva, all you have to do is move your mouse across your screen like a zig-zag then select motion effects and animation styles to make any element move on your decided path. Super easy!
Magic Write: If you’re already using ChatGPT or any other AI Copy Generating Tool then good news for you. Now you can do it all in one place inside Canva with its AI Magic Write Feature.

Text to Image: This amazing tool transforms your words into stunning images, allowing you to bring your creative ideas to life. Whether you want to visualize an idea or sketch out a concept, Text to Image will do that. This is not as powerful as other text-to-image AI tools like MidJourney or OpenAI’s Dall-E 2 but Canva’s Text-to-Image is enough to create beautiful creative designs.
